When using the Search by Address tool:

  • Enter the house number and street name only.

  • Mahesh’s Tip: Avoid using “St” or “Ave” initially to keep the search broad and prevent technical errors.

If you are looking for multiple properties under one name, use the Search by Owner function.

  • Enter the last name first (e.g., “Doe John”).

  • The search tool will list every property currently registered to that owner in the county.

Andrews County Homestead Exemption & Property Tax

If you live in your home as your primary residence, you are eligible for the Andrews County Homestead Exemption. This is an Ad Valorem Tax benefit that lowers your taxable value, specifically for school district portions of your bill.

  • Filing Deadline: You must generally file your application between January 1st and April 30th.

  • The Benefit: It limits how much your assessed value can increase each year and provides a significant discount on school taxes.

  • No Fee: You should also know that ACAD will never charge you a fee to file an exemption.
